“An unusual, interesting and beautifully sung selection of music.” Audience member, December 2011
Our repertoire is very varied and extensive, ranging from the Renaissance (Palestrina, Guerrero, Tallis) to works by contemporary composers such as Judith Weir, Jonathan Harvey, John Tavener and Jonathan Dove.
Major sacred works performed by Pegasus include the Monteverdi and Rachmaninov Vespers, the Bach Passions, Vivaldi’s Gloria and the Requiems by Mozart, Brahms, Fauré and Duruflé. The choir has also performed mass settings by Berkeley, Kodaly, Martin, Palestrina, Roxanna Panufnik, Poulenc, Rheinberger and Stravinsky.
The group is equally at home giving smaller-scale recitals of lighter music, including cabaret, operetta and close-harmony, and boasts many excellent solo voices.
